A.Tips: The varistor has an inflection point in the pre-breakdown region of its characteristic curve, which corresponds to a specific set of inflection point voltage and current; when the applied voltage is higher than the inflection point voltage, the varistor will enter The "on" state (the resistance value becomes smaller); when the applied voltage is lower than the inflection point voltage, the varistor enters the "off" state (the resistance value becomes larger). The knee voltage can therefore be understood as the varistor voltage UN (critical voltage between on and off states).

 

B.So:Urms≦(UN×90%)/√2≈0.64UN
